Tractor Trailer Story

We do a lot of tractor-trailer wrecks. What we’re finding now, especially in this economy, is that these companies are giving jobs, driving trucks, to almost anybody. If you’ve got a pulse and a driver’s license, you could drive an eighty-thousand-pound truck. That is not safe. I took the deposition of a trucking company’s owner the other day, and not to get into all the details of the case, but he looked right at me and said, sir, we don’t have safety standards.
