Why Law School?
Why did I become a lawyer? It’s kind of a long story, but I’ll try to make it as short as I can. I come from a working-class family down in Spring Hill, Tennessee. My dad didn’t go to college.
Mom didn’t go to college. I was the first male in my family to go to college, let alone law school. But the biggest reason is because I love American history. And when I was studying early American history, I realized that almost all the founding fathers are lawyers.
So to me, in my mind, it was just this honorable profession that I could pursue. And once I got into law school, I found that I had a real passion for the law, and I truly still do. And so not only do I enjoy representing injured clients and seeing them get better and seeing them get the justice that they deserve, I have a true passion for the law and the legal systems. And to tell you the honest truth, I kind of nerd out about it.
